Lachlan Carr

Lachlan Carr is a Managing Partner of Angus & Carr and advises employers and organisations across Australia on employment, industrial relations and workplace matters.
Lachlan has over a decade of experience spanning private practice, in-house legal roles and work with a national peak member organisation. He advises on all aspects of employment law, including enterprise bargaining, industrial disputes, unfair dismissal, general protections, discrimination, workplace investigations, underpayment issues and regulatory compliance.
He regularly acts in matters before the Fair Work Commission, federal courts and state courts and tribunals, and is particularly experienced in supporting organisations operating in complex, unionised or highly regulated environments.
Lachlan also conducts and advises on workplace investigations involving misconduct, complaints, governance and culture issues across workplaces, educational institutions, sporting organisations and community organisations.
In addition, he advises on privacy, data protection, defamation and broader commercial disputes.
Lachlan is known for providing practical, commercially focused advice and for helping clients navigate complex legal issues with confidence.
Outside work, Lachlan enjoys swimming, reading and spending time with friends and family. He also reads judgments for fun, which his friends and colleagues tease him for.

Naomi Steele

Naomi brings more than 20 years’ experience working in law firms, with a strong background in legal administration, practice management and law firm operations.
She works closely with the team to support the day-to-day running of the firm. Her role focuses on ensuring the firm’s systems, processes and workflows operate smoothly so the practice runs efficiently.
Naomi assists with matter management, document systems, billing processes and the operational aspects of the practice. She also works behind the scenes to improve internal systems and processes, helping the firm operate efficiently as it continues to grow.
Her extensive experience working in legal practices means she understands how law firms operate and where operational support is most valuable. Naomi plays an important role in keeping matters organised and supporting the team to deliver timely and professional service to clients.
Outside of work, Naomi enjoys spending time with her family and keeping active. As a busy mum of two, she is no stranger to juggling competing priorities and keeping things organised. Skills that translate well into the fast-paced environment of a law firm.

Hugh Ford
Paralegal

Hugh is a student at Monash University, studying a combined Bachelor of Laws (Honours)/Bachelor of Commerce degree. He takes a commercial and detail-oriented approach to the resolution of legal issues. Hugh has a particular interest in the intricacies of commercial law and is committed to delivering high standards of client care through clear communication and a responsive, solution-driven mindset. Outside of work, Hugh is an accomplished hockey player and enjoys spending time with friends and family.
